Figma Motion → Flutter just became a much shorter pipeline.
And I think a lot of Flutter teams haven’t noticed it yet.
Figma Motion can export Animated SVG.
full_svg_flutter can render that Animated SVG directly inside a Flutter application.
- No Lottie conversion.
- No WebView.
- No rebuilding the animation in Flutter.
- No intermediate animation format.
The workflow can literally be:
Figma Motion → Export Animated SVG → Flutter
Designer creates the motion.
Developer receives one .svg file.
Flutter renders the animation directly.
For years, searching for “Figma Motion to Flutter”, “Figma animation export Flutter”, “animated SVG Flutter” or “Flutter SVG animation” usually meant finding another conversion step.
- Lottie.
- Rive.
- JSON.
- A plugin.
- A WebView.
Or recreating the animation manually.
But if the source asset is already an Animated SVG, why convert it at all?
That is exactly the problem I built full_svg_flutter to solve.
It supports animated SVG directly in Flutter, including SMIL, CSS animations, transforms, path morphing, masks, gradients, filters, SVGator exports and playback control.
And now Figma Motion makes this workflow much more interesting.
Designers: welcome to Flutter.
I wrote a deeper breakdown of how Figma Motion → Animated SVG → Flutter works, why this matters for designer-to-developer handoff, and where this could go next.
And if you use Figma Motion: send me your most complex Animated SVG export.
I genuinely want you to try to break the renderer.
